Job description: We are currently seeking FULL TIME & PART TIME Direct Care Professionals to assist individuals in our Residential Group Homes located throughout Bucks and Montgomery Counties. HIRING FOR 2ND AND 3RD SHIFTS!! *Please inquire about limited day shifts Our Direct care staff plays an essential role in the success of Indian Creek Foundation, if you desire a rewarding career enhancing others lives, come join our team! Our Direct Care Professionals provide hands-on care to individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities assisting with activities of daily living, personal care, meal preparation and community outings. Other responsibilities include: Provide individualized attention, which encourages each individual's ability to maintain the highest practical physical, mental, and psychosocial well being. Maintain the comfort, privacy, and dignity of each individual in the delivery of services to them. Interact with individuals in a manner that displays warmth and promotes a caring environment. Provide medical assistance such as administering medication, First Aid and CPR as trained by the agency. Maintain a home-like environment in the Group Home by assisting with housekeeping, laundry and grocery shopping. Accurately completes all in-house documentation and reports of individuals progress Education/Training: High School Diploma; GED Skill(s): Ability to read and write in English, moderate mathematics skills required; proficient interpersonal relations and communicative skills; auditory and visual skills. Must be reliable and dependable. Satisfactory completion of post-offer pre-employment physical exam and drug test as required. Completion and clearance of a criminal background check and a child abuse clearance. Must have a valid driver's license with a clear three-year driving record. Physical Requirements : Ability to perform the physical duties required. Must have adequate mobility that requires frequent walking, standing, bending, stooping, kneeling, reaching (vertical and horizontal), using fingers, hands, feet, legs and torso in providing various care; and operate a vehicle. The employee must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds and occasionally must lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, including transferring of client. Experience: Previous experience providing direct, hands-on care to adults with developmental disabilities preferred.
