Job Description

After training, as a Software Engineer (SE) you get the opportunity to work with multiple business units aligned with diverse industry verticals like banking, finance, retail, travel, hospitality, and media to name a few. As an SE you would be responsible for:

 

  • Understanding client requirements and preparing designs for translating the needs into deliverables
  • Involvement in actual software development to ensure the project is complete in the designated time     schedule
  • Code review, TDD and analysis of your own code and removing bugs, if any
  • Ensuring adherence and compliance to all process and quality parameters
  • Maintaining and enhancing projects/software as per the client's and Mindtree’s request
  • National travel may also be required once you are trainedQualifications
  •  
  • Minimum of a 3.0 on a 4.0 GPA scale is preferred
  • Bachelor-level students or recent graduates majoring in engineering or computer science-related fields
  • Fluent in Japanese
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated teamwork and leadership abilities
  • Familiarity with computer science concepts and programming
  • An internship or relevant experience will be considered a plus
  • All applicants, at the time of hire, must prove their eligibility to work in the United States and ability to travel up to 50%

The role of an SE opens up avenues to career paths across the Customer Interface Team (Dedicated for business development and relationship management), Domain Consulting Stream (Expert consulting work in industry domains), Agile Consulting Stream (Emersion in Agile methods leading to scrum master or even Agile coaching careers), Business Analyst Stream (Location rotation program nationally), Project Management Stream (Involved in mainstream project execution) and Technical Stream (Dedicated to work in the area of advanced technology and architecture).

Undergraduates with a background in Engineering (all majors) or Computer Science-related fields are eligible.
