Job Description

The responsibility for the Environmental Services Tech is to provide a clean, safe and friendly environment for patients, visitors, and associates by providing housekeeping services. Environmental Services Tech is responsible for cleaning tasks in patient rooms, nursing stations, lounges, restrooms, offices, clinic areas, and any other areas assigned in accordance with standard procedures of the Environmental Services Department.




Minimum Experience Required

One (1) year successful work experience.


Desired Experience



Hospital or hotel housekeeping experience.


Minimum Education Required



Some formal education sufficient to have reading and writing skills.

Management Of Aggressive Behavior*(M.O.A.B)

Fire & Safety Certification*

Essential Skills

Ability to communicate clearly in English, both orally and in writing

Experience in laundry

Operate and maintain selected equipment

Knowledge of cleaning chemicals

Demonstrate a commitment to service, organization values and professionalism through appropriate conduct and demeanor at all times

Demonstrate exceptional customer service and interact effectively with physicians, patients residents, visitors, and staff

Ability to see near and far with or without corrective vision

Near Acuity: clarity of vision at 20 inches or less with or without corrective vision

Far Acuity: clarity of vision at 20 feet or more with or without corrective vision



Protective Devices Required




Desired Transportation

Gloves at all times, protective gowns, booties, mask and goggles for contaminated linen and when transferring chemicals.
