The Public Safety Radio Dispatcher (PSRD) is a non-sworn classification and under general supervision, performs work of moderate difficulty in dispatching police personnel, and performs related work as required to handle the full range of telephone answering and dispatch function.
Minimum experience or requirements:
- Education: High school diploma, General Educational Development (GED) certificate, or California Proficiency Certificate
- Experience: One (1) year or 2080 hours of public contact experience receiving, processing and/or dispatching calls in a radio dispatch or call center OR successful completion of high school and three (3) years of experience working in public contact experience
- Background: Required Police Background check
