Job Description

Title:                     Customer Service Clerk

Department:        Customer Service

Status:                   Non-Exempt


Working Relationships:

                Reports to:                           Customer Service Director, Assistant Customer Service Director

                Subordinate Staff:             None

                Internal Contacts:              Store and Corporate Office personnel

                External Contacts:             Customers



To provide the highest level of customer service, assist management as needed and to provide constant support to the stores, while insuring that all Federal and State laws and company policy and guidelines are being followed.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Process online payments
  • Process Change to Masters
  • Report PNL’s to credit bureau
  • Receive and re-route subpoenas
  • Process credit cards and package for new accounts
  • Distribute mail for stores
  • Resolve all customer complaints in a respectful and polite manner and/or escalate accordingly
  • Perform other duties as deemed necessary by management.  


Preferred Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:

  • Minimum of 1 year in customer service or related position
  • Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint experience
  • Strong analytical and PC skills preferred
  • Highly organized with excellent communication skills
  • Must be accurate and assertive with the ability to prioritize
  • Possesses a personable attitude with an internal customer service focus
  • Verbal and written fluency in both English and Spanish highly preferred.

                Operate a personal computer, host computer and other general office equipment;

                Communicate effectively in both verbal and written forms in both English and Spanish;

                Apply cognitive skills to research and provide solutions.

                Take directions, carry out instructions, follow posted rules, and interact with coworkers;

                Promptness and reliability are essential to operations;

Professionalism and friendliness when interacting with colleagues and external personnel is a required job function.

                                Stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and


                                Must be able to sit for prolonged periods of time in front of a computer;

                                Must be able to communicate requiring ordinary speech and listening skills.


Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

                This is a full-time position with primary hours coverage from 8:00 AM to 5:00 Monday through Friday some weekend and holidays, with a standard one (1) hour lunch period and two (2) break periods.
