Job Description

The Lake Doctors is one of the largest and most qualified water management companies and its fastest growing segment is the sale, installation and service of a variety of floating fountains and aerators. The Fountain Field Service Technician will use electrical, plumbing, shop and irrigation skills to service, troubleshoot, and repair a variety of fountain brands as well as assist in the assembly and installation of new units. The position will require strong electro-mechanical skills, customer service skills, regular interaction with customers and prospects and being a contributing member of a great team work environment. Driving, delivering and installation in a variety of weather conditions is routine. Daily travel is involved but rarely overnight. A strong commitment to safety, consistent with company policy, is a must. Pay will depend upon prior experience in related fields such as electrical, plumbing, pump and motor service, and fabrication.

Additional Responsibilities:

            Fountain Service Technicians will also be trained and certified to perform field work related to control of weeds and algae in customer’s lakes and ponds.  An excellent training program if offered leading to state certification in Aquatics.

Job Requirements:

  • High School Diploma is a minimum.
  • Trade School certifications are helpful.
  • Minimum two years' experience in the electrical, plumbing or shop/welding fields.
  • Experience with 4-wheel drive trucks, boats, John Deere Gators and trailers very helpful.
  • Must possess a valid Driver's License with clean driving record
  • Must have reliable transportation and proof of insurance.

  • Possess skills in good time management, organization and ability to work well alone.
  • Candidate must possess outgoing, pleasant personality with good verbal and written communication skills.
