Job Description

Ahern Rentals is looking for an Outside Sales Manager to generate new leads and manage a team of sales reps to grow our current customer base in their assigned area.  Position will analyze business opportunities, monitor performance of reps in meeting these needs and resolve any customer disputes that may arise.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Present and sell company products to current and potential clients
  • Identify new leads and referrals and develop client relationships with them
  • Approve pricing and discount rates
  • Set sales reps quotas and ensure sales quotas are met and exceeded
  • Resolve customer concerns in a positive and efficient manner
  • Prepare paperwork for all rental contracts
  • Coordinate with Ahern staff to see all sales through to completion
  • Develop product knowledge of current and new inventory
  • Create status reports and e-mails for Senior Management

Qualifications:

  • 5 years operations or Equipment Rental or Construction sales management experience required
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills required
  • Good time management and organizational skills a plus
  • Basic computer sill preferred
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English
  • Must be able to pass a drug test and background check
  • Must be able to provide Motor Vehicle Record at time of job offer (current within 15 days)
