We are seeking an Maintenance/Engineering Supervisor to join our hard working and fast-paced team. The Maintenance/Engineering Supervisor will manage along with and in the absence of the Chief Engineering Manager within the bakery operation. Performs maintenance tasks as needed in an orderly and cost conscious manner. Works safely and efficiently with a minimum amount of disruption to the production process.  

Work Shift: Friday-Tuesday 2pm-11pm

Primary Duties and Responsibilities: 

 

  • Leads effective Maintenance programs in coordination with the Chief Engineer/Manager.
  • Provides administrative oversight of all maintenance initiatives.  
  • Supervises, trains, develop and mentor employees on Maintenance functions.
  • Facilitates departmental training.
  • Works collaboratively with other departments within the bakery to meet the needs of our customers.
  • Works in compliance with all regulatory and company requirements.
  • Manage bakery PM program.
  • Maintains accurate and timely records of work performed on work orders, maintenance calls, and preventative maintenance reports.
  • Responds to maintenance and line stoppage calls.
  • Provides technical assistance and information as needed.
  • Display initiative in recognizing work to be accomplished and make recommendations.
  • Makes Continuous Improvement Program recommendations.
  • Ensures employees understand expectations and meet service levels, conducting employee performance reviews and corrective action as needed.
  • Support and adherence to Franz Core Values.
  • Additional duties and/or responsibilities as assigned.
  • PJ electrical license required.  PS license preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Food manufacturing experience a plus.
  • Previous leadership experience preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs.
  • Knowledge of tooling design and fabrication.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple project plans, with solid project and time-management skills.
  • Attention to detail to effectively manage multiple projects and departmental responsibilities.
  • Excellent organization skills.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication.
  • Experience working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
  • Ability to effectively lead teams of employees to achieve goal completion.
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to adjust schedule as needed to support a 24/7 manufacturing environment.
