Job Description

Job Summary 

This is an entry level position where you will assist and provide information to patients with a positive outlook. To be successful you will becomes an advocate and facilitate resolution(s) of past due accounts by working with the patient and or insurance company for payment.  This is a full time position working Monday through Friday from 10:30am to 7:00pm.  Salary is $13.00 per hour 

Key Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate the ability to properly research account issues, resulting in account resolution
  • Completes assigned training and education in Federal and State Laws regulating debt collection
  • Prioritize and work assigned accounts to obtain prompt payment from the payer
  • Update the account database to identify action that has been taken on the account
  • Handle difficult patient calls to determine and resolve issues
  • Make out-going and receive incoming calls at a high volume level
  • Perform assigned duties in a professional and courteous manner
  • Provide feedback to management
  • Perform any additional task assigned within the department
  • Incentives are available based on performance but is subject to change

Minimum experience or requirements: 

Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent from an accredited facility
  • Ability to sit at a workstation for a minimum of 8 hours per day
  • Use a phone with headset
  • Utilize a computer keyboard with a WPM of 40 with a 95% accuracy and ”ten” key familiarity
  • Work as a team player to meet personal, group and office goals
  • Ability to multi-task while on the phone with payers
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment
  • Learn and retain new or evolving information and procedures
  • Ability to exercise discretion on sensitive and confidential matters
  • Demonstrate customer service skills effectively on the phone
