Job Description

MPS Group, Inc. has immediate openings for Booth Cleaners at the GM plant in Wentzville, MO. Openings on first and second shift.

First Shift Hours: Thur/Fri/Sat/Sun 6:00am-4:30pm 

Second Shift Hours: Thur/Fri/Sat Sun 2:00pm-12:30am

 

Starting pay $11.00/hour

Pay increase to $13.73 after 90 days

Pay increase to $14.48 after 1 year

Pay increase to $15.23 after 18 months

 

Medical/Dental/Vision/Life/Disability insurances eligible after 90 days no premiums

 

GENERAL DESCRIPTION: Responsible for cleaning activity/handling solid and hazardous waste in an automotive manufacturing facility in Wentzville, MO. General activity includes janitorial activities, lifting, preventative maintenance of cleaning equipment, inspection of waste storage areas and documentation as required.  Scheduling subject to union seniority. 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE (BUT NOT LIMITED TO):

  • Using solvents, High Pressure water blasters up to 40,000 psi and manual scraping/chipping to clean walls, hoses, windows, grates, lights, robots, etc.;
  • Grease rails and perform other minor maintenance;
  • Vacuum and wipe interior and exterior of equipment;
  • Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing or vacuuming;
  • Perform other specialized paint booth cleaning jobs as required.
  • Lock out/tag out of equipment for safe entry into energized areas of the paint shop
  • Confined space entry procedures for safe entry into confined space areas needing to be cleaned
  • General janitorial functions such as office and restroom cleaning

 

REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma or GED;
  • 3 years’ experience with janitorial duties, power cleaning equipment, and/or preventative maintenance in a manufacturing setting highly preferred;
  • Able to stand, kneel, and bend for long periods of time and reach within 6” to the ground;
  • Able to climb ladders and stairs without difficulty;
  • Lifting, carrying and pulling equipment of various size, shape, and weight;
  • Experience operating a Fork Truck preferred;
