  • Determines issues of jurisdiction, venue, probable cause, and suitability of filing a petition, the issuance of a detention/ shelter care order or diverting cases when appropriate based on complaints primarily filed by law enforcement officials
  • Maintain a liaison between the local police department, and all law enforcement agencies to ensure continuity of all juvenile matters in the state
  • Prepare written findings on all cases that are supervised in the Intake Department for a formal review by the state and county judicial system
